at the hill


There is one member of the family who loves pancakes more than anyone else. (I'll go on record as a waffle person, a fan of little buckets of syrup and butter all in a row.) On Monday the pancake-lover shared some of her pancakes with us. They were soft and soaked through, with a trace of butter froth along the top. They were fantastic; sweet and salty with pocchi blueberries bobbing inside. (But I remain a waffle girl.)
